Join us as we produce 'All Shook Up' inspired by and featuring the music of Elvis Presley, book by Joe DiPietro. Teen Summer Camp produces a full length musical from casting to design to choreography to music to production in just 5 weeks! Ages 13-18 (entering 7th grade through exiting seniors) are welcome to join us.

It’s 1955, and into a square little town in a square little state rides a guitar-playing young man who changes everything and everyone he meets. Loosely based on Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, this hip-swiveling, lip-curling musical fantasy will have you jumpin’ out of your blue suede shoes with such classics as “Heartbreak Hotel,” “Hound Dog,” “Jailhouse Rock,” and “Don’t Be Cruel.”

Classes begin Tuesday, May 28th at 10am at the Denton Theatre Annex in Golden Triangle Mall. We begin with the audition and read through process on Day 1 and spend the first week focusing on the amazing history of the show itself, it's based on Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare, the history of Rock'n'Roll and the world while Elvis Presley came into his fame. From there we start choreography and music and our technicians begin the design process.

On Monday June 17th we move into the Campus Theatre located off the square in downtown Denton. All performances will be on the Campus stage; June 28th - June 30th, with strike happening immediately following our last production on June 30th.

*** Shoes are always an actor requirement and every actor will need 2 pairs for this show, one will be character specific and will be specified week 2 of camp and the other will be a pair of white canvas sneakers (EX: Keds, Vans, etc.) to be painted blue for the show. These can be purchased from Amazon, Dollar General, 5 Below, Target, Walmart, the list is endless and available at all price points. ***

Lunch will be from 12pm-1pm daily, please send a sack lunch, as well as a snack and water.

We hit the ground running, so please wear clothes that are easy to move and dance in, as well as clothes that can get dirty during set construction.
